The bible of Floating. The novice learns all about the floating and the "professional" can still learn a lot to do so. Unfortunately, so far available only in English.
The Deep Self - Consciousness Exploration in the Isolation Tank (John C. Lilly, gateways, ISBN 0-89556-116-6, EN)
If you want to know the Book of Floating even more is the right place at Lilly . The inventor of the float bath passes including reviews. It's incredibly exciting to see how others see the experience in the insulation cap.

Somehow less scientific and already much of Lilly's LSD experiences. Very entertaining and worth reading.
Clinical and Experimental Restricted Environmental Stimulation (REST) (Barabasz, Springer-Verlag, ISBN 0-387-97962, EN)
For all the theoretical background of floating and not enough from the scientific side, the Floating theme and REST approach still want to continue.
